The Young Israel of Kendall (YIK) Youth Department (YD) in conjunction with NCSY provides religious and recreational activities for children in Nursery through 12th grades. By offering weekly programs and special holiday related events YIK – YD reinforces Torah values through fun & dynamic programming, while servicing a wide range of ages & interests.
Ongoing programs
Shabbat Morning Program No matter the age this is the program for your children. Programs include: GAMES, STORIES, PARSHA, SPORTS, DISCUSSION, & includes a wonderful kiddush. Latte-N-Learn Sunday night’s at Suniland Starbucks we’ll get together over your favorite drinks; hangout, schmooze, and discuss some of your favorite topics (both Jewish & not – though everything is Jewish). Teen Nights Get together with other teens for a great time playing games & other activities. Great food is always provided. Time and locations vary. Bar Mitzvah Club For boys ages 11-13. Join us and learn more about our wonderful religion in preparation for your Bar Mitzvah. Wednesday night’s at YIK at 5:15PM Jewish Student Union Clubs (JSU) Chance for high school students to get together for a Jewish Culture Club - Palmetto Sr. - Killian Sr. - Coral Reef Sr.
